Gears of War demo?

There has been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming XBOX 360 title, Gears of War – so much so you would expect Microsoft to be throwing out a demo as a priority factor in their marketing campaign. People have already been able to play bits of it various public events, so all logic would indicate that the next move would be to put a demo out on the XBOX LIVE market place, ready to be sampled ahead of the game’s general release date. All logic is apparently wrong.

Sadly for those gagging to play a little Gears of War early there seems to be no plans to release a demo as those involved in creating the game say that making a demo would take up valuable time which would otherwise be used to polish the retail version. Whilst we all like a game to be as near to perfect as is possible, a little taster wouldn’t go amiss either but apparently there are plans to get working on more projects the minute Gears of War is released (although there are no details available at this time concerning these projects) so all attention is focused on getting Gears of War finalised and nothing more. On an official note, a Microsoft rep simply said “We have not made any announcements at this time.”
